Abstract
To resolve problems such as mobile computing, mobile agent is being widely accepted for its characteristics such as platform independence, autonomy, mobility etc. However, the availability of so many agents to work on a single application presents a new challenge to information technology: coordination between a large number of concurrent active entities. Based on the research of the current coordination technology, this paper promotes a workflow coordination model based on tasks and roles, which provides an effective way to implement the coordination between mobile agents, and overcomes the weakness in describing agent action dependency, and resource access control that may exist in other coordination models.
