Abstract
One of important aims of concurrent engineering (CE) is to accelerate product design process. Efficient methods should be taken to control the design process in order to implement CE successfully. Task assignment should be carried out carefully in order to assign the right tasks to right person in right time. Because of the uncertainty and the dynamic property of design process, a new kind of task assignment method should be found. In this paper, a new method is introduced which includes the methods to choose right tasks, determine the difficulty degree of task and assign task according to the capability of designers. All of these methods can meet the needs of CE.
