Abstract
Networked manufacturing system meets the greater demand from customer, suppliers and partners in manufacturing industry to offer a full range of information and services collaboration. However, there are many security issues within the collaboration and communications, especially when the application service provider mode is adopted. Therefore, an integrated user access control model to overcome security challenges was provided. This model is composed of role authorization, task authorization, company relation authorization and coalition authorization. And we also presented a virtual private network (VPN)-based security solution for networked manufacturing system. These two security solutions help us to safeguard the networked manufacturing system.
