Abstract
We propose a novel code delay acquisition method for long-code satellite navigation systems. The transmitted signal is assumed to be pulse-shaped with a band-limited filter. The delay acquisition is performed by minimizing the mean square error (MSE) between the received signal and a locally generated replica of the spreading code. The proposed method is able to estimate fractional delays from a chip rate sampled received signal and has robust performance in the face of multipath propagation.
