  • Abstract
The observational study of atmospheric suspended particulate matter (PM) is carried out in four seasons in fiscal 2002 (April 10-24, July 24-August 7, November 6-20 in 2002 and January 29-February 12 in 2003). In this study, the regional distribution of crustal aerosol particle was examined on obtained result of analysis from the viewpoint of index element of crustal aerosol particle such as aluminum, calcium, and iron. And, the backward trajectory was analyzed with using the upper air charts in order to clarify the transport pathways and sources. As the results, the high concentrations of coarse particles in spring and autumn have obtained due to the effect of sporadic Asian dusts in each 14-day sampling period. From the trajectory analysis, Asian dusts derived from arid and semi-arid region in China were transported in spring and autumn, and have affected to the concentration of crustal elements in PM samples. The tendency that the composition of crustal elements becomes constant with increasing concentrations of crustal elements was recognized from obtained samples
