Abstract
This study deals with challenges related to the management and measurement of innovativeness. The purpose of the paper is to present an approach to address this issue from the managerial point of view in knowledge-based firms. The study presents the first part of a larger project, and in this first part the performance drivers, i.e. the main factors enhancing innovativeness, are clarified with the help of a multimethod approach, including a literature review, focus group interviews and a company management workshop. The empirical part of the paper includes a case study of a large telecommunications firm aiming at enhancing corporate innovativeness
