Abstract :
A novel technique for general filter network model parameters extraction from the filter characteristics obtained ria EM simulation of the structure is introduced. The method is regarded as an optimization problem with the cost function involving the eigenvalues of the transversal coupling matrix and its principal, lower and upper submatrices and the eigenvalues of the coupling matrix fonnd in the course of optimization. The transversal coupling matrix is obtained analytically by constructing the two-port short-circuit admittance matrix form the coemcients of the polynomials of the rational functions S11 and S ~wIhi ch are fonnd applying the univariate Cauchy method.
