  • Abstract
This paper presents an effective method of 2"\´ and 3\´\´ harmonic suppression for Wilkinson power divider by using an asymmetric spiral defected grouud structure (DGS). In the proposed method, a single asymmetric DGS provides two different resonance frequencies due to the different sizes of spiral-shaped defects on the ground plane. By inserting asymmetric spiral DGS into quarter-wave line of the Wilkinson power divider, the 2" and the 3\´\´ harmonics are suppressed simultaneously. Experimental result shows IS dB suppression for the 2nd harmonic and 15 dB suppression for the 3\´\´ harmonic, respectively. By using asymmetric DGS, the size of quarter-wave line is reduced by 9.1% compared to that of the conventional structure without DGS.
