Abstract :
Recently, collaboration software has become popular in various organizations. Most collaboration software products, however, are based on client/server architecture. Therefore, we have to prepare servers beforehand when we attempt to connect from networks outside of the organization. The P2P architecture is currently attracting attention because it enables us to use collaboration software without any server. However, new problems arise on synchronizing shared data and managing its ownership in P2P collaboration software. In this paper, we propose a new method for managing data, and we evaluate the proposed method by using the prototype on Java.
