Education and student activities committee (ESAC)

ESAC has continued its new initiative of monthly conference calls to maintain forward movement on key items. The officers of ESAC (Chair: Mark Steffka, Vice Chair: Bogdan Adamczyk, and Secretary: Daryl Beetner) also communicate regularly between those calls to ensure the overall direction of the group is moving towards meeting its goals. The attendance at the regular call has been typically from six to 12 people (and is expected to include more after the face-to-face meeting at the symposium). We have found out that these calls are the perfect forum for regularly discussing status of current items, as well as they are a great tool for development of new ideas.
