Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a novel design for almost dead-beat control of nonlinear systems in continuous time. The proposed control exploits the nonlinearities in the control designs for better performance. Smooth nonlinear functions are used in the control laws, and the global asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system is established. The complete nonlinear design guarantees the convergence to a prescribed neighbourhood of origin from any initial state in a prescribed finite time.
