Abstract
Transmission spectrum of one-dimensional photonic crystal (PC) with lattice- defects is studied. Anisotropic layer of nematic liquid crystal (NLC) is considered as a defect. The possibility to control the transmission spectrum of defect electromagnetic modes due to reorientation of NLC optical axis was shown. The modification of transmission spectrum nearby temperature phase transition of nematic in isotropic phase was also studied.
