Abstract
In the paper problems of creating technical means for orientation of the blind and visually impaired are discussed. On the basis of the, interdisciplinary approach a spatial-distributed structure of orientation system that consists of stationary and portable devices has been offered. Stationary devices are placed along the proposed route of movement of a man in places where one need to take decisions, and include an infrared sensor for finding direction of movement and an UHF-transmitter for reporting information about location. The portable device is a radio receiver-decoder for receiving messages and a device for individual voice warning.
