  • Abstract
    In the Clinic of Neurosurgery of Novosibirsk RITO out of 229 patients operated on for removal of meningioma of various localization 143 patients (study group) were operated on with application of ND-YAG laser with wavelength of 1,06 microns produced in the Siberian Centre for Laser Medicine. The laser functioned in impulse-periodic mode with pulse duration of 200 mk sec. Tumor removal was performed with frequency of laser radiation of 100 Hz, power of 30-50 W. A comparison of study group results with surgery outcomes in 86 control patients with a similar pathology treated without application of the laser proves its efficacy.
