  • Abstract
    A new national standard for digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB), which is fully backward compatible with the Eureka-147 system, has been developed in Korea to provide high quality digital audio, video and data broadcasting services in fixed, mobile and portable receivers. We have developed the world´s first chipset for portable DMB receivers. We present a two-chip solution for the portable DMB receiver. One is a multimedia processor decoding the newest video standard, H.264, and the other is a channel processor. We describe the low-power high performance design and specification of this chipset.
