Abstract
This paper presents a novel torque control method for a vector-controlled induction motor taking into account iron loss. By using a phase lag current control, both current control and parameter identification are well realized. The proposed system is simple and contains a conventional slip frequency type vector control as a special case. Furthermore, a high efficiency control method that minimizes the loss is proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed system is verified by digital simulation and experimentation.
