Abstract
The multicasting in IP-based networks is important to support diverse industrial applications such as data broadcasting. In this paper, a new rate-based congestion control scheme based on self-updated RTT (SuR) is proposed to build an efficient feedback control mechanism for congestion avoidance in multicasting networks. The proposed congestion control scheme based on SuR assures fair allocation of bandwidths and high link utilization of the network.
