An improved watermarking technique for the casting of digital signatures

"Patchwork" is a proven method of digital signature casting in images. This paper introduces a new method that improves the security of existing robust watermark encoding schemes. The proposed method provides protection to JPEG compression up to a ratio of 1:5 whereas most existing methods are robust up to a ratio of 1:4. Images are shown and simulation results are provided as examples of the robustness of the method.
