Abstract
This paper presents a novel approach to deal with online recruitment problem. We propose a multi-agent matchmaking approach which focuses on the ontology as a pivotal component to drive the entire process of matchmaking. A special kind of skill ontology is created which enables the conceptual similarity detection between different kinds of skills. This ontology consists of soft skills, hard skills, and semantic weighted relationships among these skills. We also propose an ontology-based matchmaking algorithm which achieves the advantage of locality and efficiency.
