  • Abstract
This work presents a model for optimizing the relationship between vocal tracts and the fundamental frequency of vowel and consonant fricatives produced by the vocal. To understand the structure of vocal tracts, we should follow a reverse path, in other words, our inverse problem consists of finding the shape of the vocal tracts from the produced sound. Therefore the problem is to determine the articulator´s parameters which characterize the vocal tracts using measured acoustic signals. For this purpose, we need to model relationship between the area function and the sagittal function of the vocal tracts. In this work we propose a simple model in polynomial.
