  • Abstract
In this paper we presented a new speech processing strategy for cochlear implants based on Chinese tonal information. It was a modified CIS (continuous interleaved sampling) strategy that stimulated certain channels for a certain period of time. Results showed that this strategy could improve the tone recognition scores especially the rising tone and the falling tone, so it could improve the performance of cochlear implants for Chinese language.
