Abstract
DSP is widely used and has the best prospect. At present, DSP software developing is becoming larger and larger. With different DSP processors having their own architecture and assembly language, it is very difficult to port an application written in the assembly language of one processor to that of others. This problem has been resolved by designing an independent virtual architecture and language. The DSP virtual machine (DSPVM™) technology is coming up as a promising solution to the problems encountered in the above methodologies.
