Abstract
This paper highlights the differences between MIPv6 and CIPv6. An overview some basic features and implementation of cellular IPv6 (CIPv6), a mobility protocol optimised for wireless access network and highly mobile hosts is discussed. CIPv6 is designed based on three goals: simplicity, scalability and performance scalability. A CIPv6 testbed has been set-up and some performance parameters such as handoff performance, handoff delay and packet loss were evaluated.
