  • Abstract
The communication network is in a transition toward the BcN (broadband convergence networks). The BcN makes it possible to program the network by exposing the functionalities of the network element (service component layer) outside the world (application layer) through the well-defined API. The third party application provider can deploy the third-party application by using the open API (application program interface) that resides between the application layer and the service component layer of the BcN. The parlay API is an example of the open API and the parlay X API is abstracted from the parlay API. The parlay X API adopts the Web service as a transport mechanism. So, the parlay X API does not only have advantages of the Web service but also the disadvantages of the Web service. The main disadvantage of the Web service is that it does not support any QoS (quality of service) mechanism. In this paper, we propose the asynchronous architecture that improves the reliability among the QoS issues for the Web service
