Abstract
In this work, a new type of magnetic field sensor based on the Faraday effect by the rotation of magnetization in the stripe magnetic domain is proposed. As a Faraday element a mixed rare-earth iron garnet (TbY) IG bulk crystal with the stripe domain structure is used. In this paper, the characteristics of the small linearity error and the wide dynamic rang obtained by eliminating both influences of the small wall coercive force in the domain wall displacement process and the diffraction by the periodic domain structure are represented.
