Abstract
Sintered magnets with various grain sizes and coercivities were prepared by the binary alloys method. Bulk magnets are cut into small pieces, some are etched by a nitric acid solution and heat treated and subjected to aging. Magnetic properties are measured by vibrating sample magnetometer. Grain size distributions are measured using optical images taken from the sintered magnets after lapping and etching by the Villela´s reagent.
