Abstract
In this paper, we have developed a new type of lubricant with carboxylic groups, which can improve the corrosion resistance and the frictional durability of the ME tape. The storage life of the ME tape with the new lubricant was evaluated using the Battelle Class 11 test and estimated to be more than 50 years.
