Abstract :
Induction waveform in the iron core of the electrical machines is not an ideal sinusoidal but distorted waveform according to the non-linear magnetic characteristic, the non-uniform magnetic resistance due to construction of the magnetic circuit and also the use of non-sinusoidal waveform power supply such as PWM inverter and so on. A predicting method for losses under non-sinusoidal induction with minor loops, which is based on the loss separation, was proposed. In this report, a simple predicting method without loss separation has been proposed.
