Abstract
In spite of the rapid development in integrated circuit technology, the solid state frequency indicator itself has been late in development. This paper describes the design and fabrication of a new solid state frequency indicator composed of a piezoelectric element and a liquid crystal coating. The device is 19 mm long, 1.8 mm wide and 0.2 mm thick and covers a frequency range of 1.0 ≈ 2.0 MHz.
