Abstract
In this paper, the effect of the human body on the RF transmission is investigated by using a finite difference time-domain method. A wearable PIFA operating at ISM-2.4 GHz is used in the analysis. The antennas are placed on different parts of the body including the head, waist, shoulder, and heart. The potential of using the human body as a means of transmitting RF signals is discussed.
