Abstract :
The examples described in this paper illustrate the application of computational electromagnetics in the design of realistic multi- and wideband antennas. With the model generation, solver, optimization and post processing utilities of modern software tools, and the capabilities of today´s desktop computers, the CONCERTO rf design process can be very rapid. The number of build and test iterations can be dramatically reduced, with consequent reduction in cost and time scale. Relevant antenna design examples are given to illustrate its capability and utility.
