Abstract
In order to assess the safe coefficient of a computer network more scientifically, as well as to change expert´s appraisal suggestion on the network security into theoretical direction of network´s development and maintenance, we introduce the analytic network process (ANP) into computer network safety assessment field and set up the assess model based on ANP. Also, we compare the evaluation weight matrix based on ANP with the matrix based on AHP (analytic hierarchy process). We find that although the result is close, the ANP model has corrected some remarkable errors of AHP model. Accordingly, we conclude that the assessment based on ANP is more scientific than the assessment based on AHP, and the AHP algorithm can be regarded as a special case of the ANP algorithm used in network security assessment.
