Abstract
The need of disposal of new services from telecom providers to their customers and the exploitation of existing but also continuously presented new technologies bring in the limelight the need of covering economically these services. This concern is not only focused how the interconnection between the various technologies will be achieved, but also how these demanding services will be offered in the consuming public. Charging should be in collaboration with the resource allocation and QoS together with the usage of an interconnection protocol and a database to store the information needed for the charging/pricing as well as the authentication and the authorization of the end user. Pricing/charging depends on two major factors: the resources availability and the technology and economy factors. This paper discusses the pricing policies that should be defined and the SLAs applied in order to take advantage of the interconnection of the wireless networks in a cost effective way from the telecom part, as well as, the mobile user part.
