Abstract
Smart (or active) obstacles are obstacles that when illuminated by an incoming field react actuating a policy in order to pursue an assigned goal. We have started the study of inverse scattering problems involving smart obstacles. To fix the ideas we consider only the time harmonic inverse masking problem in the acoustic case.
