Abstract
A multiresolution algorithm based on the time-domain integral equation method is presented. The sets of basis functions adopted are updated at each time step based on the previous results. Three examples are presented to show that the algorithm is effective in transient analysis. The computational cost, both in time and storage, can be greatly reduced, especially in transient analysis of electrically large structures.
