Abstract
A statistical analysis method is developed, applicable to simulations and physical experiments, for EM coupling into complex, unshielded buildings. Time-domain electromagnetic field characteristics are presented to quantify the coupling which can then be related to EMI problems in electronic equipment from physical experiments. Several representative buildings with Ethernet network, wireless network, power cabling, lights, HVAC, walls, roof and other common components are analyzed to demonstrate the applicability.
