Abstract
This paper discusses a hardware-software architecture for adaptive direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation using receive antenna arrays. Analog pre-processing, the spatial Fourier transform of the sources, is performed by a discrete lens array (DLA), and is followed by downconversion and processing at baseband using a least means square (LMS) adaptive algorithm
