Abstract
Calculation of the boundary parameters of the laser on calcium ion self-terminating transitions was made for the first time and the kinetic model of the laser oscillation excitation was built up. The main process of the laser oscillation excitation is the electron impact excitation of the previously cumulated calcium ions in the ground state. The estimated boundary value for the specific energy is 110 μJ/cm3 can stimulate further experimental investigations of the calcium ion laser.
