Abstract :
An accurate, simple, low cost on-line 3-dimensional vector quantities measurement method has been developed by employing commonly used electronic components, the vector components are measured and then the proposed instrument calculates the resultant value of the vector. The system displays both the individual components as well as the resultant value on a two line alphanumeric CD display unit. The system has the facility to transfer the measured X, Y, and Z components, through a definite time, to the PC to be displayed on the screen. A system prototype has been tested and gives an accuracy of almost less than 5 percent.
