Abstract :
Mm-wave wireless bridges are the good alternative to lower frequency microwave and optical infrared system. But mm-wave systems available are rather expansive. Low cost 71-76 GHz wireless bridge DTS-10FD for Ethernet (IEEE 802.3) networks was developed. Its operation range is up to 2 km. DTS-10FD includes integrated mm-wave transceiver with orthomode transducer (OMT), monolithic GaAs mixer and modulator circuits. It requires no tuning and is suitable for mass production. Lightweight and low cost Fresnel zone plate antenna for DTS-10FD was developed. Production of DTS-10FD was started and development of 100 Mbit/s systems is in progress.
