Abstract :
We know a wall attachment fluidic amplifier, a turbulence amplifier and an impact modulator for a switching device. Especially many investigators have dealt with the wall attachment fluidic amplifier as an object of their investigation. On the other hand, authors developed a new switching device applying the characteristics of the opposed turbulent jets. The device has excellent performance for the switching time compared with the wall attachment fluidic amplifier. For the new switching device, turbulence in the jet center plays an important roll to control that. That is, small signals, for example fluctuating pressure and turbulence etc., are acceptable for the control variables. Small turbulence can be generated by various ways, electric, magnetic and so on. Therefore an interface between the fluids and various physical values is possible to use for signals. In this paper, new fluidic device by means of the control pipe is investigated to expand the application of that and the flow fields of the oppose turbulent jets with control pipe in the center are made clear.
