Abstract
Starting from the fact that video coding standard H.264/AVC holds two methods of entropy coding, i.e., context adaptive binary arithmetic coding (CABAC) and context adaptive variable length coding (CAVLC), these two methods are compared in the sense of video context coding. Experimental work is carried out using simulation software JVT version 90 experimented by fidelity range extensions (FRExt) amandman. Three sequences are used with CIF format (352times288) and 4:2:0 High profile
