  • Abstract
Usage of television and computer methods was powerful pulse for microscopy development. The possibilities of image reception facility, image quality enhancement, quantitative estimation micro object parameters etc were of the essence broaden. The paper is dedicated to review of scanning microscopy development based on the cathode ray tube as a source of radiation from the first samples of microscopes in the middle of last century to our days. Near prospects of scanning microscopy development are traced in contemporary micro displays and special type of cathode ray tubes usage.
