Abstract
Fast switching is demonstrated on a two dimensional Al0.3Ga0.7As photonic crystal slab around 1.5 μm. An AlOx slab ensures efficient heat sink. A 200% change in the reflectivity is obtained with a recovery time of 8 ps.
