Telemetry standards for the water industry: an update

For the past two years, a team representing most of the major water and environment organisations in the UK together with key system suppliers and consulting engineers has been working to establish a common standard for the communication of telemetry data for the water industry. This has resulted in the definition of a protocol based on the internationally-recognised DNP3 standard. An update is provided and ways are suggested to engage with (and benefit from) this exciting initiative.
