  • Abstract
    This paper mainly studies the operation characteristics of a permanent magnet linear synchronous machine (PMLSM) with large armature resistance and small inductance when power supply frequency is lower. The phase relation between the terminal voltage and excitation emf, the load´s effect on the relation and armature currents are discussed. The static characteristics are analyzed with the static model and phasor-vector diagram. It has been proved that the stable motor operation region of the machine is partially in the second quadrant. The dynamic model has been established, and dynamic characteristics are simulated. The asymmetry of the machine parameters due to its structure is taken into account. The results of the static and dynamic analysis are consistent.
