Abstract
Based on the analysis of the torque-angle property, this paper proposed a new view on the characteristic of the transverse flux permanent machines´ power factor issue. By introducing the electrical loading, the magnetic loading and basic structural trait in the analysis, it is shown that the impacts of these main design parameters to power factor in this kind machines is fatefulness. This method gives a clear and accurate expression to this puzzle problem, and would be the constructive principle in machines design. A result of comparison within different topologies is used to verify this technique.
