Abstract
A large phase shift of 4.7φ induced by strong self-phase modulation (SPM) has been observed when 7 ps pulses at 1.53 μm propagate through a 6 cm long, low-loss (0.2 dB/cm), small core As2S3 waveguide fabricated by dry etching.
