Abstract
As the importance of system simulation increases [1], so does the need for good, fast and accurate models. Hardware models (or physical models) [1],[2] provide a quick and easy alternative for creating models; this paper analyzes performance of hardware models for two fairly complex devices where hardware models have been evaluated against behavior models written in C and hardware description languages.
