  • Abstract
    This paper introduces a modelling framework for capturing the semantics of VLSI CAD design objects. It summarizes the EXPRESS modelling language which has been used to model the EDIF Information Model. The model presented here, which supports existence-dependency, multiple levels of abstraction, hierarchical decomposition and connectivity, provides a platform for the integration of EDIF with different standards.
